LBC: The African Frontier
The African Frontier of  the Living Building Challenge
The Living Future Collaborative of South Africa presents three case studies of Living Building Challenge projects in South Africa.
Webinar will be featuring the consultants working on the LBC projects in South Africa – the fun and the difficulties will be shared.
Our expert presenters will share their experience around the opportunities and challenges of implementing LBC projects locally, including specialised topics such as how to design for Net Positive Water and Net Positive Energy, and how to assess if materials are compliant with the stringent Red List.
Project experience will be shared on 76 Corlett Drive (medical offices by Legaro Properties in Johannesburg), Green School Paarl, and 4 Rugby Road (a residential project in Oranjezicht, Cape Town).
Also talk about how the ILFI assists projects and how we are slowly contextualising LBC to our African context! There will be lots of opportunity for Q&A!
