Africa Builds for Regeneration
Africa Builds for Regeneration
As the world emerges from Covid with a new normal, the sentiment is how do we build back better. The Regenerative Collaborative South Africa will be hosting a webinar session to check in with the African Built Environment, to see how as a continent we are moving beyond zero towards creating this better future.
Regenerative design is about ensuring the built environment has a net positive impact on natural systems. It is a call for societal resilience, planetary health, and the regeneration of ecological systems. It strives for a future where human civilization evolves as one part of nature that is following its own laws of circularity.
With the vision to create a coherent living future, the challenge is integrating urban systems and communities with nature at a scale hat goes beyond individual buildings.
We have therefore invited speakers from other African countries to reflect on their journey to build back better. To share where they currently are and where they are aiming to go within their own countries towards this future.
