New Buildings: SANS 10400 XA & Net Zero
New Buildings: SANS 10400 XA & Net Zero
There is a race to zero, especially in the real estate sector. Many companies in the property industry are in the process of setting Net Zero targets for their portfolios.
Regulatory frameworks, like SANS10400 Part XA, have recently been updated, but are these regulations stringent enough to assist the building industry in moving to net-zero for new buildings?
Four South African Metros, the City of Cape Town, Tshwane, Johannesburg and eThekwini, signed the Net Zero Carbon Declaration, established by C40, joining other cities globally in a commitment to decarbonise buildings.
This webinar covers the recent update to SANS10400XA and the city’s promise and discusses the challenges and opportunities to meet the commitment of all new buildings designed and constructed net-zero by 2030.
This webinar will explore the South African regulatory framework and the journey to Net Zero in the real estate sector for New Buildings.
