Regenerative Design of the Human Ecosystem
Regenerative Design of the Human Ecosystem
Permaculture and regenerative design works to marry human and environmental needs in a cultivated ecology.
This approach sees humans as positive change agents – necessary contributors to rebuilding and regenerating ecosystems and service whilst supporting human needs.
Whilst it has a very strong focus on agriculture, the design principles are applied to urban design, urban home design, organisational development and many more fields.
In this webinar we’ll start by getting an overview of Permaculture design principles. Thereafter we’ll look at a few local and international case studies, and debrief after each to discuss the implications of the models presented. Some of the themes we will cover:
- Resilience in the urban landscape
- Connection to regenerating rural hinterlands
- Human health and landscape
- Pattern-based design – in time and space
- Economic transformations
- Pro Nature as potential case study
